Česká společnost pro experimentální a klinickou farmakologii a toxikologii ČLS JEP ve spolupráci se Slovenskou farmakologickou společností a Slovenskou společností klinické farmakologie uspořádaly 10. až 12. září 2003 na Farmaceutické fakultě (FaF) Veterinární a farmaceutické univerzity (VFU) v Brně 53. farmakologické dny. Organizace byla svěřena kolektivu Ústavu humánní farmakologie a toxikologie FaF VFU Brno v čele s doc. MUDr. Jiřím Nečasem, CSc. O významnosti těchto českých a slovenských farmakologických vědeckých setkání svědčí nejen jejich více než půlstoletá tradice, ale i trvalá účast většiny aktivních českých a slovenských farmakologů (cca 150-200 odborníků), reprezentujících prakticky všechny stávající farmakologické sub-disciplíny. Zahajující slavnostní zdravice využili rektor VFU prof. RNDr. V. Suchý, DrSc. a děkan FaF VFU prof. RNDr. Jozef Csöllei, CSc. k vyslovení holdu přítomné nestorce naší i mezinárodní farmakologie prof. MUDr. H. Raškové, DrSc., která v letošním roce oslavila 90. narozeniny.
