Sepsis from the clinical microbiology point of view

The paper defines the basic approach to patients with sepsis or potentially developing sepsis from the perspective of clinical microbiology. Also characterized are the principles of collecting biological samples, their transport and potential storage. At the same time, the basic algorithms for initial antibiotic therapy are presented.
