Biologická liečba a racionálna farmakoterapia

Pokrok biomedicínskych vied a technológií umožňuje v posledných desaťročiach čoraz detailnejšie, presnejšie poznanie molekulových mechanizmov, ktoré sa zúčastňujú na vzniku a progresii štruktúrnych a funkčných poškodení súčastí ľudského organizmu. Zároveň však prináša aj nové, reálne možnosti, ako do týchto mechanizmov zasahovať s cieľom účinnej a bezpečnej liečby alebo (sekundárnej, či terciárnej) prevencie danej choroby alebo poškodenia. Popri rastúcich možnostiach medicíny čoraz presnejšie diagnostikovať (a predpovedať) vznik a priebeh závažných poškodení a chorôb u konkrétneho človeka, zvyšujú sa aj možnosti v oblasti racionálnej farmakoterapie, ktorá má za cieľ zabezpečiť pacientovi účinný a bezpečný liek – dostupný v potrebnom čase, v primeranej kvalite a za rozumnú cenu...
