Antibiotic treatment and prophylaxis of some infections in pregnancy

Article serves summary about the negative influence of some infections on pregnancy and foetus. It also deals with influence of subclinical intrauterine infections on the development of the premature labour and preterm prelabour rupture of membranes (PPROM) and offer recommended procedure at PPROM. Furthers describes relation of bacterial vaginosis and possible role of aerobic vaginitis on the onset of premature labour. Other important part of contemporary obstetrics is also adequate prepartal prophylaxis of neonatal GBS infections.
